Praise be to Saint Expedite!!!

The absolute fastest Saint that ever was or is!  I had him empower the incense I made for him and had asked him to make the candle burn down in half of the time it usually takes....and he succeeded beautifully!   Praise and Glory to Saint Expedite!

Santisima Muerte!

Image
Santisima Muerte is one of my absolute favorite Angels to work with!  She is the Angel of Death!  She is one of my best friends, she never lets me down, she listens to my babble, she honors my requests, puts up with my bullshit, and most importantly does not judge me!  She is one of the most non judgmental Angels out there!           There she is ....I believe this pic is from Mexico, where her veneration comes from!  I got it off of a Google search, unfortunately I can not afford to go my self! :(  When one has honored her for a long time, one might be so inclined, if truly devoted to her to set up a life sized statue shrine to her like the one in the picture above.  Also either making or buying her clothes!      I have been honoring her for about four years now or so.  So I have felt that after some tough times, that I would set up a life sized altar to her!  She is so beau...

Saint Expedite is the Man!

Image
Saint Expedite is a saint you want to go to whenever you need something quickly.  There is no one faster than Saint Expedite!       I love him!  He's usually pretty agreeable to do what you ask of him, and if it is possible, he does it as quickly as possible.  A few warnings though, if you don't pay him almost as soon as you get the results you asked for, he will take what he gave you back from you.  Sure, not at the very second you get the results, but with in a couple of days time.  He's understanding and if you explain that you might need some time to get together his payment, I'm sure he will understand, so long as it's not a month from the time you saw results.  Don't ask him for anything that you can't make good on your payment to him and you will be fine.  The only other thing is to be Extremely specific when you describe your request.  He is not a child, but think of it as explaining it to a child.  D...

Doll Babies!

A doll baby has gone by many names...voodou doll, effigy, poppet, just to name a few.  Doll babies are typically sewn by hand, stuffed, herbs, petition paper, and personal concerns of the target are all added into the doll.  The effigy is a LIVING representation of the target.  If done properly, you baptize the doll once you have completely sewn it shut, and breath life into it.  You call on the person you are making the doll of, spirit into the doll.  Therefor, What Ever You Do To The Doll WILL Be DONE To The Person!      It takes alot of responsibility to work a doll properly.  And how you dispatch with the doll is Equally Important!  Unless you are doing cursing work and you will take responsibility for what happens to the effected person, one should NOT throw the doll in the trash, bury it, burn it, or leave it under a tree or the cemetery.  One must un-baptize the doll, and then you can un-sew it and dispose of the rest ...

Flattery Vs. Spoiling!

Flattering your Gods/Goddesses with gifts or new items for your altar is always a good thing!  But over doing it, is not only costly but unnecessary!  If you over do it....they may come to expect such lavish gifts as payment...instead of a more modest one.  If you are supper poor and can't afford new things, used items, so long as they aren't candles or altar cloths, is fine.      I'm really poor and on a tight budget.  So going to thrift stores to find offering cups, shot glasses, and objects for my altars, is how I afford to decorate my sacred space.  Some religions might tell you that you should only buy new things to put on your altars, and that is true for their religion and you should listen to your teacher first!  But if your studying a religion, without the need of a teacher, or those rules, most deities will understand if you are buying used things, so long as you are truly poor.  If you have a go...

What are the Limitations of Magic?

I laughed when my hubby posed that very question to me this morning...and then I realized that it wasn't so silly of a question.  The only limitations on magic other than what you impose upon it, are that you can not create love, money magic has some limitations, and that you can not bring back a person exactly as there were from the dead.  Those are the only three limitations that I know of!      There is the art of necromancy, in which case, you can reanimate a dead body, BUT, it would be more like a vampire, than the person you once knew.  People have found old grimoires with instructions on how to raise the dead.  Now some of them actually contain how to do it, BUT, they usually leave out a few details.  Like how to protect your self from the vampiric dead person, when you do reanimate them.      There is a story about a few necromancers, who successfully raised a dead guy in England. ...

The Most Important Rule about Spell work is....

The Most Important rule for doing spell work is to remember NOT to talk about what you have done!  It is the hardest rule to follow.  The reason one does not discuss with anyone (not your significant other, brother or best friend), is that it diminishes the effectiveness of the spell work!  I even have trouble with this rule, but I try to stick to it.      It is a common human trait, to want to brag, or even tell someone about our accomplishments.  When spell work goes well, people tend to like to talk about their success!  One might feel that after the spell has had it's effect that it is ok to talk about it, but it is not.  Spells are an ongoing process, and to talk about it at any time diminishes the long term effects.  Long after the fact, if you happen to mention it, it will probably be ok, unless the spell is meant to have a long term affect.      Especially, when doing enemy wo...

An Explanation of My Handwritten Ritual!

Ok, first off I don't cast a circle in the so called "traditional way"!  I don't invoke the watchtowers, or the elements with invoking pentagrams or banish them either.  I don't use my Athame to cast a circle either.  I cast a bubble of protection over my entire house, so that I can walk freely in it, while still being protected.  To draw and define a circle would limit my ability to move around.  And cutting your self in and out of a circle, weakens the power of the circle to protect you.  Therefore defeating it's purpose.  Sometimes I do draw a circle with my staff, but most times I just raise a defensive barrier around the property.  Besides, if one invokes the Spirits/Deities properly, they will protect you just fine and better than the elements, or a circle will.  Which that is just my opinion and how I do things.      I don't call the watchtowers because I'm also Catholic, ( I know ironic but whatever) and in Catho...

My Ostara Ritual!

This is my personal ritual as an example of how one can write one.  I do not call the watchtowers, but if you were to ...one should say something like: All hail the watchtowers of the (insert direction...north..etc), powers of (insert powers of direction like for north powers of earth and body..etc).  I call upon you to attend this rite and guard this circle. Then you could say for example for North, "For with out the Earth I would have no home."  Some kinda compliment about the element's powers or associations would do nicely.  And follow that procedure for the four corners.  Anyways My ritual for Ostara: After I have swept away all negativity I would say: The time has come to start thinking about putting away our hats, scarves, and gloves.  To sing and dream of prettier days, than gloomy, slushy, snow!  Come on, let's dance and play, and coax the Sun to warm up her rays.  And the flowers to break the soils crust....

How to Write your own Ritual!

Writing your own ritual can be as simple or complicated as you make it.  One may choose to do things different from me or not.  This is ONLY an example of how it is done.  Rituals are personal dedication of space to a Spirit or the God/Goddess you are working with.  It should be done out of reverence and respect.  You can do spell work or just honor them.  The choice is up to you.      The first step is cleansing your self!  Number One and most important.  Say you were going to go meet your date for the first time, you wouldn't go meet them with out taking a shower first, now would you?  So don't go meet the divine without, showering, and taking a spiritual bath first.  I'm not going to go into how to do this on this blog post but I'll save that for another one.      Second, one would cleanse their ritual space.  This clears away the ordinary, negative energies, to...

Pets can be useful!

Now I am Not suggesting that you go out and buy a pet just for protection.  Pets are sentient beings, and they do have souls, and feelings too!  But, pets will take magical hits for you, depending on your relationship with them.  One could go out and pick out a fish, by asking it if it would take hits for you before buying it.  If it acts favorably, then it agrees to this task.      But in no way are you to mistreat or not treat well a pet just cause it will take hits for you.  I bought a fish with the intentions of it taking a hit for me, her name was Wednesday!  I cried bucket-loads when she died!  She was a beautiful, blue, Japanese fighting fish!      Pets even without being asked to, will take hits for you, if you have a good relationship with them and they like you.  They just naturally do it.  They are an excellent source of companionship, love and protection.  T...

What is the point of having an Altar?

For some, this maybe a rudimentary blog, or down right obvious.  But stick with me...I wrote this for those who ask questions, and are just starting out!       The point of even bothering to set up an altar is to have a focal point to honor your deities with.  All most all humans need something physical to focus their intentions and prayers, so that they can concentrate on whom they are sending said prayers to.  The catholics have the cross, the pagans their statues, for some it's a scroll, a word, or an image on paper.  Whatever path you are on, all most all religions have an altar of some sort, even the Catholics.  Think about when you go (if you do go) to church, the priest stands behind an altar.  They call it an altar, a spade is still a spade.      It is a meeting place for the Divine to descend to and speak with you freely.  It is a private space set aside that sits between the worlds, dedicated t...

My One Good Teacher...

I hope everyone finds a Great teacher first....but it doesn't always happen that way!  I had two bad ones and then I was lucky to find the third Good teacher!  Third time is the charm!  I know he's a great teacher because: 1.  He has talked me out of asking him for readings and trying to hire him when it was clearly unnecessary and I was over reacting. 2.  He Actually teaches me about real magic, and doesn't try to thwart me by giving me bunk knowledge or half of the recipe. 3.  He has many students, who are capable, knowledgeable, and listen to him.  You can always tell a bad teacher by how little students he has and what kind of students he has.  The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. 4.  He doesn't get involved with drama. 5.  He actually practices what he preaches. 6.  He keeps up with his practice.  My last teacher left his offering cups to mold...just saying.    ...

Some Pointers on How to Pick a Good Teacher!

So you feel you've got a good foundation and now you feel it's time for a proper teacher!  But how does one tell if the teacher is:  Fair, knowledgeable, kind, powerful, good at teaching people, etc...!  Mostly one just uses their good senses, but I Can provide you with my experiences of what not to do!      I have had two very awful teachers, they were both very different from each-other in every way, and One current good teacher!  But as most people gravitate to what they shouldn't do first, let's explore the bad teachers before the good one!  For starters, (and I missed this lesson) if your soon to be teacher starts bragging how they've magically destroyed/killed other people before, with or with out cause, probably not a smart move to shack up with him/her.  Now one might say, "But hey, isn't that obvious?"  NO, it's not.  Some people might talk them selves into by saying, "We'll the teacher says he is powerful, and I wan...

Protection is a Way of Life!

Taking precautions to protect your self once you start on this path is the most important thing you can do for your self!  When I first started out, I over looked this aspect of the path and I suffered for it.  When you start opening up your self to entities, and energies, you become a beacon of light in a veil of darkness.  Regardless if you are doing good or not, your spirit starts to shine brighter from power.  And power attracts all kind of things.       Simple protections can range from herbs in the four corners of a room, to lighting candles, to crystals, and objects placed above doors and windows.  Simple things you can do are:           1.  Look up in a magical herbal book, some herbs that are protective and return to sender, and determine a number (usually an odd number, no more than 13) of herbs you are going to use.  Then pray over them and put t...

Some Advice and Blabber....

I have Never gotten bored of tending to my altars or practicing magic.  There have been times where I have taken a much needed break, but Never have I gotten an itch to ditch my deities for a new God or Goddess to honor.  I've never understood people that jump from one pantheon to the next faster than a girl will change her clothes!  I have had to get rid of deities that were no longer good for me, meaning that they and I have had some misunderstandings and no longer worked well together.  But most of the elevated beings that I honor have been with me for a long time.      Most people when they first start out try to find them selves and what works for themselves.  And that is completely ok.  But if you have formulated a relationship with a deity and then get bored and give it up for another new shinier one....over and over again...that's not ok (in my opinion)!  I knew someone that had a few deitie...

So What do You do with a Cauldron?

For starters,  DO NOT JUST USE IT AS AN INCENSE BURNER!!!!!   Sorry, I'm still angry about that.  Anyways, one probably won't find this info in any book....so you can throw away the idea of fact cking me because I have over 8 years of experience  practicing magic!  When I first started there was practically NO info on how to work with a cauldron. ..I would have loved to have found out this info back then...it would have saved me alot of time, trial and error!        I had to figure this out for my self!  And little bits I had gleaned from others on magic forums.   So here we go....The first and most basic thing you can do with your cauldron is make a mini fire in it for a ritual or spell.  Unless it is cast-iron or metal...maybe stone...but I wouldn't do this in a clay pot and depending on how hot you get it and how long it burns for...I would probably not suggest stone in the end.....

Cauldron Basics

Let's start off with the very basics and work our way out from there.  Well for starts most traditional cauldrons are cast-iron. ..but one's cauldron doesn't have to be. ..it could be made out of clay...brass. ..metal. .soapstone. ..stone in general..I've even seen cast-iron tea pots as one...basically anything that is bowl shaped...or can hold liquids in and be able to burn stuff in will do.  It is a transformational tool.  It takes what ever you put into it....churns it up and sends it out to wherever you send it.      I would not put things like crystals in it to charge because it is like a black hole that sucks the energy out of whatever you put in it and sends it out to where you designate.   I stupidly put a charged crystal into my cauldron once thinking it would super charge it and instead it started to drain it.  Needless to say I was pissed and Never did that again!      So if you chose to go and get a cast-iron pot.......

The beginning. ...

This blog has been birthed from the fires of hatred for all of the misinformation out there on magic and especially how to work with a cauldron.   I can't stand it any more!!!!  If I see one more fluff ball using their cauldron as an Incense burner....well there aren't enough curse words or foul descriptions of things I would like to do to them to express how I really feel about it....not good! ;)  I'm tired...and it's late here but do expect Real advice and suggestions on how to properly work with a cauldron and spell work....trust me there will be no laws of three or 93 here...just straight up truth!  The kinda shit you won't find in the books...boobtube...etc...Goodnight!
