Pets can be useful!

     Now I am Not suggesting that you go out and buy a pet just for protection.  Pets are sentient beings, and they do have souls, and feelings too!  But, pets will take magical hits for you, depending on your relationship with them.  One could go out and pick out a fish, by asking it if it would take hits for you before buying it.  If it acts favorably, then it agrees to this task.

     But in no way are you to mistreat or not treat well a pet just cause it will take hits for you.  I bought a fish with the intentions of it taking a hit for me, her name was Wednesday!  I cried bucket-loads when she died!  She was a beautiful, blue, Japanese fighting fish!

     Pets even without being asked to, will take hits for you, if you have a good relationship with them and they like you.  They just naturally do it.  They are an excellent source of companionship, love and protection.  Think about it, wouldn't you take a bullet for a family member or close friend?  Why wouldn't they?

     Some brujo's specifically conjure their pets for protection.  Treating them badly, and with out care.  This is not the way to go.  Let it happen naturally, and because they want to.  The Goddess has a special place in her heart for small animals.  Don't abuse this love.  They will protect you with out all of the conjure!  So respect your pet, because it could save your Ass!

When Divination tells you NO!  Even I need to be reminded sometimes that I can not play God.  That there are rules to magic and one must follow them.  No matter what system you work with, there are rules. And when divination says you shouldn't do something...
