My Ostara Ritual!

This is my personal ritual as an example of how one can write one.  I do not call the watchtowers, but if you were to ...one should say something like:

All hail the watchtowers of the (insert direction...north..etc), powers of (insert powers of direction like for north powers of earth and body..etc).  I call upon you to attend this rite and guard this circle.

Then you could say for example for North, "For with out the Earth I would have no home."  Some kinda compliment about the element's powers or associations would do nicely.  And follow that procedure for the four corners.  Anyways My ritual for Ostara:

After I have swept away all negativity I would say:

The time has come to start thinking about putting away our hats, scarves, and gloves.  To sing and dream of prettier days, than gloomy, slushy, snow!  Come on, let's dance and play, and coax the Sun to warm up her rays.  And the flowers to break the soils crust.  And freshen things up a bit!

I would take salt and mix it into the water with my Athame and say:

With the union of salt and water, may it purify and cleanse this space.

Strike staff 3 times or ring bell and say:

I call upon the Sacred Source of All Creation, to attend this rite, guard this house, and bless this space.  For without your command, even the wind will not blow.

I ask Jesus Christ to attend this celebration, and guard this circle.  For without Love and Compassion, the world would not exist.

I call upon Bridget, The Celtic Goddess, who is the Sacred Flame Keeper, to attend this rite and guard this home.  For without her inspiration the poets would become speechless.

I call upon the Elements of Earth, Air, Fire, and Water, to attend this rite and guard this circle.  For without any of you, we would have no home, breath, warmth, or life.

Welcome speech, say:

I have called you all here today, to celibate Ostara.  The Spring Equinox is a cheery time, when winter is whisked away and the air becomes fragrant again.  And I hope you enjoy the festivities, food, and wine.  For all of you are always welcome at my table!

Take incense, Frankincense, Myrrh and Sandalwood onto charcoal block and say:

By the power of this fumigation, may it cleanse, seal and sanctify this home as Sacred Space.  For those who have been called and us to feel protected and at home.

Strike staff or bell 3 times and say:

I have come to proclaim
that Spring is coming!
Although, I don't smell the flowers in the air,
I feel the days warming up on my skin.
I feel the chill leaving
and the crisp sharpness coming back.
Spring, Spring, I becon you near,
for the winter has been long and harsh!
I crave the dew on fresh blades of grass.
The fragrant and warmer breeze.
Than this sharp, biting, omnipresent cold,
I have suffered through.
I long for the light of Spring, verses
the cold dark of winter.
The animals are starving
and they need fresh greens to eat.
Have pity, Oh, Spirits of Spring,
have pity on all who have suffered winters icy kiss!
Awake, A new Life Ever Lasting Green!
Amen!

 Winter has had its reign,
Now Spring will break through the icy barrier, to thwart the snow and make things grow.

(a prepared candle with appropriate herbs associated with drawing power, and sun associations to bring the sun down and make it hotter for spring.  And oils for the same purpose.  As well as carving my intentions into the candle and having already fixed it to the bottom of my cauldron with the same herbs on the candle sprinkled around the base of the candle as well)

With this candle, I do Light the furnace of the Sun to shine down harder and longer.  To usher in Spring as quickly as it can Naturally happen!

So that the little flowers will grow,
the bee's will buzz,
the starving animals will feast,
and all of the snow of winter will melt,
to water the Earth, so the plants and trees will grow.
The records of the years gone by,
kept in the bands of a tree.
Let us be done with this cycle and onto a glorious new circle.
Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall, the wheel is creaking,
let us help grease the squeaky wheel and let Spring Begin!

Light the candle and say:

In the heat of this flame,
grows the beauty of the world.
Light the way for All good things to Grow and Grow!

Take wand and bless the offerings of food and drink.  Say:

And Now everyone's Favorite part!  Let us Eat, and Share a toast, to the New Green Dawn of Spring!

Offer to the God/Goddess a portion of the food and drink First!  Then partake and share in the feast.  You could play music, dance, talk and have fun!

When you are finished, say:

Well now that the feast has been consumed, the toasts have been drunk, and the songs sung.  It is time to depart in Peace and Love!

Depart in Peace and Love, Earth Air, Fire, and Water.  Live and Love to Serve the Sacred Source.  May you always exist in Peace wit humanity and teach us respect.

Depart in Peace and Love Bridget.  Live and Love to serve the Sacred Source.  May your Flame never go out!

Depart in Peace and Love Jesus Christ.  Live and Love to serve the Sacred Source.  May you always reside in my heart!

The Sacred Source, may you Never leave my house or my heart, mind, body, or soul!  For with out your good graces, I would not be alive today!

Depart in Peace and Love, All who have attended.  This celebration has ended.  Live, Love, and Serve the Sacred Source.  And Bring on the Spring Time!

Farewell!  Amen.

Put everything away, the rite has ended!

I will write another bog explaining why I did it this way...later...
